Beaufort West 05/08/2009
![]() We arrived in Beaufort West on May 5, and so at the Rotary Club presentation that night we subjected the Rotarians to a little Cinco de Mayo festivity. Here's BJ pouring the tequila, of which everyone was more than happy to partake. ![]() We spent a very cold morning at the Karoo National Park on a game drive. This is a kudu, one of the many animals we saw that morning. We've also tried kudu steak, which is not bad. CommentsTurner Carlson Sat, 09 May 2009 00:20:41 I'm sorry, Sare...did I here you had kudu steak? Well, that works out perfectly because Whole Foods just started carrying kudu and when you get home I'll be darned if I'm not going to fire you up a kudu steaklet (yeah, steaklet...we don't get the good stuff) on the grill in the backyard. Turner Carlson Sat, 09 May 2009 00:22:38 P.S. Your mom and I had a margarita at El Minuto tonight...it's just not the same without you although it's still pretty awesome. Marcie Dahlen Sun, 10 May 2009 15:17:03 Congratulations to all of you for a wonderful vicarious experience--my introduction to blogging. A fabulous experience. Can hardly wait to hear all the details firsthand. Carla botha Mon, 11 May 2009 00:25:24 Wonderful meeting you Sarah, hope your allergy / bite has cleared up. Your schedule is so hectic that we didn’t have time to get to know more of each other. You should be back home within a day or two, enjoy your family and friends. P.S - Kudu steak is almost the same as beef, with the fat. Mon, 27 Dec 2010 21:37:55 It really a useful idea.I will have a tiral of this idea as soon as possible as have already frustrated by them for a long time.Thank you very much for your continously post of effective tips.
